A Journey Through Brain Cancer
In 2020 a grand mal seizure changed everything. This is our story of the fight since — the treatment, the hard days, and the reasons to keep going.
“If I live my life worrying about the future, then what good is living?”

Meet Nick
In 2020, our lives changed when Nick was diagnosed with oligodendroglioma — a rare brain tumor. Since then every day has been a fight, but also a lesson in strength, love, and gratitude.
This website is our way of sharing the journey — the surgery, the treatments, the research, and the family that carried us — so that anyone facing the same fight feels a little less alone.
What is Oligodendroglioma?
A rare brain tumor most people have never heard of — here is what it is, in plain terms.
What it is
A rare tumor that grows from the brain’s supportive (glial) cells, affecting how the brain sends its signals.
Common symptoms
Seizures, headaches, and memory or focus changes are among the first and most common signs.
Why it matters
It reshapes daily life, and the research is still evolving. Sharing the journey helps bring hope, treatment, and awareness.
The Hanover Fireworks Site
Nick grew up beside a former national fireworks testing site in Hanover, Massachusetts — a place with a documented history of contamination and an unusual cluster of cancers among those who lived nearby.
Part of this journey has been asking the hard question of why, and pushing for the town to take the site, and the people affected by it, seriously.
